VLPlay receives its G1 licence and begins publishing in Vietnam

On 2 July 2026, VIET LONG GAME PLAY JOINT STOCK COMPANY was granted G1 licence number 136/GP-PTTH&TTĐT for the provision of online game services. It is the licence a company must hold to publish and operate server-based online games in Vietnam.

Why it matters

The G1 licence covers the company's whole catalogue rather than any single title. Each game still needs its own content-approval decision before it can open.

About the company

VLPlay is the trading name of VIET LONG GAME PLAY JOINT STOCK COMPANY, founded 9 July 2024 and based at Landmark 81 in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. The team has published games in both Vietnam and China.

Update: the first two titles

Kiếm Khách Truyền Kỳ, a wuxia MMORPG, received its content approval on 29 July 2026 and opened Open Beta on 15 September 2026. Thương Lam Cảnh Giới, an anime turn-based RPG, received its approval on 17 August 2026 and opened Open Beta on 17 September 2026. Both are published under this G1 licence.
